Dear Parent/Carer,

Further to our earlier communication about the wider opening of schools from the 1^st June. I have just received a letter from the Local Authority (attached) stating that 3 out of the 5 tests the Government said needed to be undertaken before schools can reopen safely have not been and cannot be met locally the 1^st June.

Therefore, I can confirm to you that Moorside will not open more widely to other pupils from 1^st June. We will, however, remain open to our Keyworker children and pupils who already attend.

I am sorry if this has caused any confusion today, but the guidance and advice is constantly changing. We will be in touch as soon as we have been made aware the that schools in Calderdale are able open safely. Next week is Half Term and school is closed; we will continue with our weekly phone calls and the home learning opportunities through our SeeSaw programme after this Half Term break.
